Tyson Heavenfire is a respected drummer, cultural leader, and Minor Chief from the Tsuut’ina Nation. Deeply rooted in his Nation’s traditions, Tyson carries forward the heartbeat of his community through his work as a performer, mentor, and advocate for Indigenous culture and ceremony.

A lifelong drummer, Tyson leads the Tyson Heavenfire Drum Group, which has opened numerous gatherings, conferences, and community celebrations across Treaty 7 territory. His performances have been featured at events such as the Alberta Recovery Conference, National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations, and many Tsuut’ina Nation community ceremonies. With each song, he fosters cultural pride, healing, and unity among participants and audiences alike.

Beyond performance, Tyson is known for his leadership and service within the Tsuut’ina Nation, where he contributes to community development and youth engagement as part of Chief and Council. His work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening identity and connection through traditional song and drum, bridging generations and building understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
