Palestine Advocacy Club (PAC) | Former Human Rights Lawyer

The Palestine Advocacy Club (PAC), based at the University of Calgary, is a student-led group committed to raising awareness of the Palestinian struggle through education, direct action, and community engagement. Their work includes campus mobilizations, protests, and resource-sharing campaigns that address the impacts of occupation, displacement, and ongoing genocide. Through initiatives like Palestine 101 and interactive histories, PAC brings attention to both historical and current realities faced by Palestinians.

We’re honoured to welcome PAC to the Calgary Justice Film Festival in connection with Maria, a powerful short film portraying a mother’s quiet resilience while protecting her unborn child in the midst of destruction. While rooted in advocacy, PAC’s contribution to this screening speaks to something deeply human—the intergenerational toll of violence and the enduring strength of those living through it. Their presence offers essential context to this urgent conversation.
