Sara Behairy, Wall of Tears

Muslim Voices for Palestine (MVP) is a Calgary-based grassroots movement founded in May 2024 and led by Sara Behairy, guided by three principles: Unfiltered Truth, Unyielding Justice, and Unbreakable Action. Through advocacy, education, community organizing, and the arts, MVP amplifies Palestinian voices, challenges injustice, and turns solidarity into action.

Art and education are central to this work. Through visual storytelling, memorial installations, educational initiatives, and collaborations with youth and emerging artists, MVP shares Palestinian history and lived experiences, preserves cultural identity, and challenges the erasure of Palestinian stories.

For MVP, art is a refusal to let Palestinian lives be reduced to statistics or their history forgotten. This exhibition honours those lost, gives space to those who remain, and invites audiences to learn, reflect, and confront the human realities behind the headlines.

Together, these works honour Palestinian lives beyond the statistics, using art to raise awareness and inspire reflection on justice and human rights.
