Pamela Narvaez-Torres | Conservation Specialist at the Alberta Wilderness Association

Pamela is a wildlife biologist and Conservation Specialist at the Alberta Wilderness Association. She works to protect Alberta’s wild spaces and species, with a focus on woodland caribou, wood bison, the boreal forest, chronic wasting disease, and the impacts of oil and gas development.

Originally from Mexico, Pamela holds a BSc in Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Calgary, where she is completing her PhD. Her doctoral research focuses on how human activities and natural disturbances affect lemur populations in southeast Madagascar.
