Nicole Crowshoe Johnston | Community Advocate

My name is Nicole Johnston, born and raised within the Blackfoot Confederacy, Treaty 7 and member of the Peigan Nation in Southern Alberta. I am currently Pursuing my Political Science at Mount Royal University with future aspirations in joining the Political field. As an Advocate and Activist, I began my journey by joining in the MMIPeople’s and LGBTQ movement back in 2014. Due to my many loved ones who had gone missing and murdered. I started hosting my own events, gatherings and peaceful walks to bring awareness for “Justice of Indigenous and for the residential school children and survivors.” I am presently doing my best to focus more on speaking and standing up for our environment, especially for the protection of our water.
