Murwarid Ziayee | Senior Director at Right to Learn‬ Afghanistan

Murwarid Ziayee is Senior Director at Right to Learn‬ Afghanistan, formerly known as Canadian Women for Women‬ in Afghanistan. Prior to moving to Canada in 2018, Murwarid‬ managed operations, educational programs, partners, and projects at Right to Learn‬ Afghanistan’s former country office in Kabul. Murwarid has a BA in Political Science and Law from Kabul University and formerly worked as a National Gender Affairs Officer and a National‬ Human Rights Officer with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).‬ Murwarid has worked closely with the former Ministry of Women’s Affairs in Afghanistan and‬ served the former Office of the Afghan President as Program Officer with a focus on analysis‬ of women’s rights issues.‬ Murwaird will be speaking at our screening of Shot: The Voice of Freedom.
