Mike Judd, Guide and Outfitter
My education has been book learning and following old mountain men around the hills. For much of my life I have been a guide and outfitter involved in hunting, trail riding along the continental divide and dog sled tours in winter.
I am one of the founding members of the Timber Wolf Wilderness Society, the Foothills Bison Restoration Society, and the Defenders of the Eastern Slopes.
I have intervened in more than a dozen regulatory hearings on industrial proposals for the eastern slopes.
I am a firm believer that non-violent direct action is an essential tool when government fails to uphold and protect the public interest.
Most recently the Defenders of the Eastern Slopes have put direct action to use and sustained a blockade for more than 30 days to prevent the destruction of a critical watershed forest on Mt. Tecumseh near the Crowsnest Pass.
