Kerri Crowchild, Women’s Fancy Dancer
My name is Kerri Crowchild, and I am from the Tsuut’ina Nation. I dance Women’s Fancy and have been dancing since I was two years old (Tiny Tots). Dancing is a big part of who I am. Dancing has also helped me through the hard times in my life, and it has saved my life. Through dancing, I express myself, share my culture, and connect with others. Dancing has given me a sense of pride, confidence, and belonging. It allows me to honour my roots, celebrate my identity as a First Nations person, and share my passion with the community around me.
My dancing journey continues to help me grow as a person and as a dancer, and I hope to inspire the next generation to embrace their culture, tradition, and passion.
