Jill Drader is an award-winning entrepreneur, published author (Knowings), and founder of Steel Toe Stiletto Ltd. and The OwlSeek Method. With a background that bridges the academic, trades, and consulting sectors, Jill has taught at four post-secondary institutions and worked for over 20 years as a strategist and consultant guiding businesses, leaders, and trades professionals in values-driven growth.
Her connection to CJFF stems from her own lived experience: a youth shaped by addiction, followed by years marked by personal trauma and transformation. Education became her way forward and she’s pursued it with tenacity. Jill holds multiple academic credentials and has studied across disciplines from International Development to Counselling, traveling to over 20 countries along the way.
A certified Journeyman tile setter and stoneworker, she’s also a relentless advocate for women’s advancement in self-reliance through education and construction, creating pathways for those traditionally underrepresented in leadership and industry. Her commitment to standing up for what’s right, and for those who deserve to be seen, heard, and supported, is foundational to her work.
Jill’s passion for justice and community-building has shaped every step of her journey. Whether leading a retreat, speaking at a conference, or developing new learning frameworks she brings lived experience, academic insight, and deep compassion to her work.
Going forward, Jill aims to use her voice, story, and platforms to elevate bold conversations about healing, equity, and systems change, ensuring people from all walks of life have the support and tools to rebuild, rise, and lead.
