David Anthony Hohol, Newsletter Communications

David is excited to join the CJFF team, taking on the coordination of the CJFF monthly newsletter. He is a Canadian writer, photographer, and communications specialist based in Calgary, Alberta. He currently serves as Director of Communications and Marketing at the Centre for Newcomers, where he leads all content creation, media relations, marketing, and community communications, while also working as Chief Videographer for Calgary’s International Avenue. He is also the owner of Distinct Motion Media, a digital media and communications agency.

With international experience working and/or studying in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, as well as traveling to nearly 50 countries, Hohol has built a career combining journalism, photography, storytelling, and strategic communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Ireland’s Warnborough University, a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Calgary, and professional certifications in leadership and organizational change.

As a father, he also shares his photography, creative work, and family life through his creative handle, @dadthelionheart.
